Don’t give advice/inspire

Greatest challenge I feel as someone in a position to give advice, is to not give an advice. Not that I don’t want to be helpful but exactly because I want to be helpful. Also, I know, that no amount of detailing can transfer the ‘know how’. The only way to teach is to provide opportunities to learn. The person has to jump in, muddle through and find answers. Life cannot be replicated through examples, but it should inspire others to take the plunge and discover. Detachment to the outcome comes handy here to avoid the anxiety to manage others’ learnings.
